I got ideas for gift for my girlfriend birthday but need HELP!!?

The problem is… she is going to have a birthday party with 15 people at a sushi/karaoke place. Should I give it just to her or should I bring it out during the party?
Also.. the thing about my gf is that she wants gifts that she would find useful.. All i could come up with is that she needs a DVD player and with that I plan to get her that plus make a DVD with standstill pictures and music of us… not sure if its too corny but do you guys/girls have any other suggestions?? Somehow I think the DVD things is weird, but thats all i can come up with!! HELP!
wow, you are such a sweet boyfriend! i love your ideas. just buy a small edible ornament, like the one shown in the link. the dvd idea is fabulous! it shows you are being thoughtful in so many levels! you do not have to make it very long, maybe just 5-10 minutes. good luck!
