Free software for making karaoke CD copies?
I used to be able to make karaoke cassette copies of recordings, so that the solo vocalist’s main voice disappeared (but an echo often remained). Anyone know of free software that will do this? (I am an Audacity user)
Audacity has no Vocal Cut feature, which is the reason I asked the question in the first place. Previously, I used a graphic equalizer to put all the bass on one channel, and reverse-wired one of the channels to use phase-canceling to eliminate the center channel information. I was hoping for something that took less time to set up.
Audacity should have a Vocal cut feature. It uses stereo phasing to remove the center channel where the vocals usually lie. It typically leaves an echo, so it’s probably exactly what you were using before.
