Karaoke Ubuntu

Which linux distro would best suit me?
Which linux distro, in your opinion, would best suit me. I’ve got a laptop (Proline) with 770MB RAM, 256MB Graphics (VIA), 1.8GHz Processor (Pentium M)…
I need a linux distro that will be fast, good looking and do good with graphics and sound editing and recording. Also, it must be able to sit in as a Karaoke machine, as well as a Home Theater system (Just a little media centre where you can rip and watch movies from the hard disk).
I’m going to take a look into Ubuntu Ultimate Gamers Edition (getting it tomorrow), but I need an additional linux to keep me interested!
Any suggestions?
Oh– It must be able to play games
You might want to look in to topping up your RAM a little. Ubuntu Ultimate is not suitable as it stands.

Linux is now in a position of offering a viable alternative to proprietary platforms and more than capable of offering a full desktop experience.
There are two worth taking an immediate look at and both use the GNOME Desktop Environment being Linux Mint 6 and Ubuntu 9.04 and both are very easy to use.

You download the ISO. image of either Linux Mint 6 or Ubuntu 9.04 then you need to create a Bootable CD from the ISO. This can easily be done using Nero Burning ROM or similar software. Linux Mint 6 and Ubuntu 9.04 can also be run straight from the LiveCD you have created without touching your Hard Drive.
