Recording Vocals with Pro Tools 7.0 LE??
To any advanced home studio recording gurus, this is going to to sound absolutely ridiculous, but all I’m looking to do is record my voice over a karaoke-style background track. I have Pro Tools 7.0 LE with the mbox pre-amp and a condenser mic. Any really basic step by step help or pointing me in the direction of an easy to understand tutorial would be much appreciated!
Start a new project. Import the .mp3 file you wish to sing over. Pro Tools will convert it. Start playback and record as many times as you like. Add any effects you wish to the vocal track(s). When done choose bounce to disk, to burn to cd or you can bounce everything back down to .mp3 format for sharing on the web.
