How can I overcome the fear of parents hearing me?
I like to sing, and everyone enjoys it…at work and stuff, when I just randomly break into a song while doing the paper work, people tell me that I can sing, and I always deny it. I was shaking and nearly crying when we sang karaoke in class, thankfully, everyone enjiyed it…but I can’t sing in front of my parents. What’s wrong with me? I don’t want to be a rockstar or anything, but I would like to do that for a living…since it’s something I like a lot…I hit the high notes just fine…just can’t sing in front of my parents. What do I do?
Recorders don’t work either. For some reason, they freak me out and I start sucking when singing.
I have the same problem! But for me, I am ok when I am singing in front of a bigger audience and they are there, but not when it’s just them. I think it is because I can focus on everyone else. And if they’re not there, no problem!
Since I have the same problem, idk how to get over it! But I am sure I will someday! I have the same problem with recorders too! Because you hear yourself being played back is probably part of it.
