Karaoke Now 2009
How do I politely ask my sister to stop rubbing the fact that I’m single in my face?
It’s getting worse and worse. At my age (I’m 21) she already have a 3 year old son and was working towards baby number two (even though she wasn’t married). I don’t have any kids.
She’s 32 now with 3 children and was recently married in February 2009. Everytime we go out (to karaoke) she always has to make some off the cuff remark about me being single. It’s annoying.
I don’t mind being single at all so how can I ask her to just stop it?
Observer- that won’t stop her. She’s my family. I see her outside of karaoke too, lol. I wish it was that simple.
Just look at the others and tell them how jealous she is! Make a joke of it. She probably really is deep down inside. Say things like how nice it is to have free time, not to be tied down and make your own decisions. I don’t mean for you to be hateful to your sister, but it is a matter of self defense. It too bad she is being disrespectful of your feelings, family can do that sometimes.
