Karaoke Mixer Microphone

Setting up a karaoke system?
I am setting up a karaoke system and I have asked people on what do I have to get to get it up and running. Below are the options I got:
1. DVD player, amplifier and microphone
2. DVD player, audio receiver, mixer and microphone
It looks like AMPLIFIER = RECEIVER + MIXER. Is this true or not? If it is, since I already have audio receiver with the speakers set up, option 2 seems to be perfect for me. And if all I really need is the mixer, how is VocoPro DA-X10Pro rated?
All you need is a DVD player, the Voco Pro (which is a mixer), mics, amp, speakers and a TV or projector.
I would not use a home audio receiver but it will work ok. If you plan to use this only in your own home, then it will be fine. If you plan to take your equipment out of the house, get a real amp and speakers like a professional would have.
