I heard a song…words included “till I can make it on my own”..does anyone know it?

this song is often sung at a Karaoke Night in Kingston, Jamaica. It has a great vibe that they all love in Jamaica.

the only song i know with those lyrics is a country song covered by tammy wynette, faith hill, martina macbride and 98 degrees did a version of it.
