Karaoke Japanese Songs
Do anime fests/conventions and such have karaoke performances?
I’m looking for some public singing experience. Any ideas on where I could perform a Japanese song live (amateur level)? All I can think of are anime conventions.
The songs I sing are not anime songs though.They are other Japanese songs. Can you sing any Japanese song at an anime convention?
Most anime conventions will have some kind of karaoke competition, and generally it is JRock and JPop music that is used…not necessarily from an anime. If you go to a competition get the schedule first thing and find the time they have blocked out for karaoke. Get there early so you have a chance to browse what they have and find something you want to sing.
