Karaoke Japanese Pronunciation
What is it called when english is used to express japanese pronunciation?
Alright. This question came to me when I was watching the openings of some anime. The lyrics for the song are originally japanese, and there are 2 subtitles for this. The first subtitle is the direct english translation, and the second subtitle uses the english alphabet to express how to pronounce what is being sung in japanese. I was wondering what the second second is called. If it helps, I wouldn’t be surprised if the same type of subtitles are used for english karaoke of japanese songs.
