My laptop’s PC speaker and MIC suddenly are not functioning. what happened? Please help.?
My PC speaker and MIC suddenly not functioning after using the free online Karaoke site. Did try playing games and messenger sounds but to no avail. I checked the volume control dialog box I found out that the MIC and PC SPEAKER “balance” were not highlighted. I already did troubleshooting and restart my laptop but still got no response. By the way, I also tried to check the playback and recording but received no voice from me after reading the paragraph. What is the problem? Is it my laptop’s sound driver does not support separate bass and treble settings? How am I going to do it? Or are there any problems or solutions? Please help.
There are a few more things you could check and do.
Have you check the status of your sound card in the device manager? It will tell you if it is working properly and/or if it is enable or disable.
From Windows “Add remove program” try uninstalling your sound card driver, restart you laptop and reinstall your sound card drivers. If you don’t have hem you can download the latest driver version from the manufacturer web site of your laptop. But you have to be 200% SURE that you get the correct drivers.
Uses the latest Windows restore point if there is one. The problem with using Windows restore points is that you may loose software that was installed after the date of the restore point. This should be used as last resort.
