How to dual screen Karaoke laptop and TV?
I am trying to run karaoke music out of my laptop and into my TV. I bought the hosting software so it can play the music and I tested this. Also, I bought an adapter for it since my TV is old and doesn’t have the PC port. I connect the VGA to the laptop and then to the adapter and from there I run the video wire to the video port in the TV. I can see the desktop screen fine on the TV. My problem is that while I have friends singing, I don’t want to have to exit from full screen, just so I can go back into my folder to choose music. Is there a way that I can have the lyrics to the song still appear on the TV so people can sing, while I look through my laptop without having what I’m doing showing on the TV screen?
Make sure your tv is plugged in.
Yes Go into control panel and then display.
Once there you are going to go to Settings.
You should see a window with two square next to each other with one or two on them.
Then you should see an option that says extend my desktop to this monitor.
Your tv should then display your background.
Now look at the squares with one and two.
Whichever side Square two is on is the where your desktop is stretched.
Close out of control panel. open up any window and drag it to the side of the monitor and once it reaches the edge it should keep right on going onto your tv.
If it doesn’t work on one side try the other.
