Karaoke Files Torrent

Why didn’t my burned karaoke CD work?

I downloaded karaoke torrents – each song came with the .mp3 and the .cdg file. Using my HP burner, I put the .mp3 and .cdg files on the disc. Told the karaoke DJ to check if the songs on the CD worked.

He said he had a CDG player & that it didn’t play MP3s. He also said the G in CDG stands for graphic…he told me the audio worked, but no graphics came up on the screen.

I used a CD-R disc to burn it. I read somewhere you should burn it as data…was that the problem?

I thought the .cdg file meant the audio & graphics are together.

Is Power CD+G Burner the only way to burn CDGs correctly for a professional karaoke machine?

The two files of the MP3+G song track (which is what you have) must be encoded together before being burnt to disc. Power CD+G Burner and Microstudio are the leading programs for doing this and are both very easy to use.
