Karaoke City Of London

Oriental City – Colindale London?
I know this place has been closed down for a while now, but it was a huge shopping centre with an Asian/Oriental supermarket, restaurants, karaoke bars, asian stores, an arcade and a food court with the most incredible foods and fruit drinks.
I grew up going here and it was my favourite place in the world! What I want to know is is there ANYWHERE in London or anywhere nearby like this? An Oriental/Asian shopping centre? China Town hardly comes close, its too busy and touristy. This place had a very nice community feel and had everything you could ever want in one place.
I hope there is somewhere like it, I heard it’s possibly opening again one day. One of my best memories is celebrating Chinese new year there =(
I’m afraid it was pretty much one of a kind. I used to go all the time and really miss it, especially the food court. There are no Oriental shopping malls in London, but there are lots of specialist Oriental shops and supermarkets.
Did you know that a lot of the shops and food stalls have relocated. For example, the supermarket moved to Bayswater and the satay stall, Puji Puji, is now a restaurant in Dalston. The Randomness Guide to London has all the details.

There is a proposed project for a new food court in Wembley Park, organised by some of the ex-Oriental City food sellers.

Fingers crossed it will eventually reopen in some form!
