Bar Scene in Chicago – Mag Mile/Rush St area – Need a FUN pub that will allow 20 year old’s in?
Looking for a fun spot to take a bachelorette party – but we will have 2 girls with us that are 20 years old. So we need a place maybe Restaurant/bar combo that will let underage in.
Please note that they are not looking to be drinking! They will stick to Soda! We just want them to be able to come with us.
Looking for a fun place with maybe Karaoke and a dancefloor – we will be going on a WED night. Thanks for the help!

It’s not clear exactly what dates you’ll be in Chicago, type of music, or cuisine. There are some establishments who make allowances for admittance of under-age 21 customers, particularly in the case of special occasions like a bachelorette party. It’s illegal to serve liquor to the underage, but not illegal to allow them to enter the place. I think the key is to try to set up something in advance with the establishment’s manager or party/event planner.
In terms of pubs, you can look around Rush Street and Division. See http://www.rushanddivision.com/clubs.html for a list of clubs and pubs. You should call each place to find out their under-21 policy OR you can call call Gina at 312-664-6656 ex120 to ask about the issue and schedule a party. The underage policy could differ for each club; it could differ based on days. Also, Streeter’s Tavern (sort of a dive bar on the list), Reagle Beagle (http://chicago.metromix.com/bars-and-clubs/lounge/reagle-beagle-streeterville/147924/content and http://www.reaglebeaglechicago.com ) or Howl at the Moon (http://www.howlatthemoon.com/ ) might be options.
If the above doesn’t work out for you in terms of age policies and other factors, then here are some other possibilities (again, call to check age policies and party options):

The private rooms at Lincoln Karaoke are a good option. Trader Todd’s is a great place for karaoke. It has a fun Hawaiian theme, food, and you can belt it out in front of a crowd. * Excalibur (632 N. Dearborn St.) is a long-established multi-level club. See http://www.excaliburchicago.com/ . The venue has food. They say that the minimum age is 21, but there are a lot of prom attendees that seem to be let into this place. Vision Nightclub hosts some 18+ events, perhaps they’ll be willing to host your party. * You can bowl at 10-Pin Bowling Lounge as long as the underage leave before 8 p.m. It is an upscale place that serves food. See http://www.10pinchicago.com/ . You can call and double-check their under 21 policy on that aspect. It situated across from the House of Blues in Landmark Marina City (330 N. State Street). The House of Blues (http://www.houseofblues.com/tickets/searchresults.php?mode=lview&venue=chicago&uuin=ConcertCalendar ) hosts music acts. You can check out their schedule and click on event to see the age range.
Another upscale bowling place (with food) is Lucky Strike Lanes in the River East Center (322 E. Illinois St. – very close to the mag mile). You would need a 21 year old in the group between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. But again, you should call to double-check the policy. The building has an AMC movie theater too.
* Another strategy is to go a restaurant early for dinner, which later turns into a club-like atmosphere or has party-type atmosphere overall. So, a mix of dine and dance, in some cases. People may get carded later at night, so it may be a bit risky, unless you set up the details through a party reservation. Also, the atmosphere change is more likely to happen on the weekend, not on Wednesday. Note that some places may have a more elegant atmosphere than others:
