Karaoke At Wedding
For my wedding me and my hub were arguing and his mom came in to listen.. Am I right to be pissed off?
I told him I didn’t want a microphone at the reception b/c everytime they do something ( a sports game at the house or a party for someome) they have to sing karaoke.. They invited ppl to MY wedding without my knowledge and they brought a mic to sing!!! I was effing pissed.. And me and him had an argument b/c they brought that mic,.. She comes in to listen to our conversation and rolls her eyes.. She said I might have a chemical imbalance? Yea I admit I have an issue.. HER.. (She’s not a dr!!) Do I have the right to be pissed at her and HUB? He kept taking up for her but before he told me he’d make sure they wouldn’t do that, but when it came down to it he was on her side!!!

I can’t believe she said that to you! I can’t believe she invited people to you and your husband’s wedding either without telling you! I think you need to have a talk with your husband and tell him 1) when you and him make a decision together before hand it should be what happens, even if they brought a microphone it should have not been used 2) that he needs to set his mother straight and tell her she needs to respect you and your wishes, if she starts out disrespecting you it will only continue unless he says something. I don’t blame you for being angry, I would have been upset also, it’s not so much about the mic as the whole principle of it.
