Online Singing Lessons
Anyone can sing!
Don’t believe when somebody tells you that not everyone can sing. How could that be true? Anyone can sing; and I’ll prove it to you. Maybe, when they tell you that a person who can’t carry a note cannot be taught on how to sing; but alas, I will tell them otherwise. Maybe, just maybe, a person cannot sing like the greatest divas ever lived like Celine Dion or Whitney Houston, but I assure you, they can sing, at least, in an acceptable standard.
Singing can be a skill or a talent. You may be born to reign supreme on the center stage, or even started singing even when you were on your mother’s womb. But this talent or skill in singing can be acquired. With proper training, good guidance, and the determination of the would-be singer, you can surprise everyone with the new talent you will have in no time.
Do you know why I’m writing this, insisting on to something that not everyone choose to believe? It is because I am one of the millions who thought that I cannot carry a tune! Every time that there is a party, karaoke sessions will always follow when drinks starts pouring. That is also the time that I make myself invisible to my family and friends during these parties. I always do that when there is this kind of occasions that I can’t miss; but how I wish I did.
I once felt humiliated and stupid for accepting a dare to sing in a karaoke bar back when I was still in college. So young, and truly stupid, I accepted the dare just to prove that I am not a weasel to my crush for months! After a lengthy round of drinks, I felt that I can do anything, felt I can conquer everything! And because of that, I forgot that I can’t, and never tried, singing at all! Oh, how embarrassed and mortified I was the next day when they showed me the video of my “world class performance” at the karaoke bar! I’m very thankful that it was Saturday, I have valid reasons not to go out of our dorm until the next day!
Relieved that I was, partially, I still have to face them. Sure, they teased me and made fun of my daring escapade with music, but hey, we had a good laugh about the incident, at least, they never made a big deal out of it.
But still, it was embarrassing and I decided to look for online singing tips, downloadable versions of it and diligently practiced almost every day and secretly, mind you. I planned to try again singing the next time we go out on the karaoke bar, surprise them when I’m ready. And it worked!
Now, I am always requested to perform even on small gathering with my friends and family. No more escapes, and for once, I was visible.
You know what they say; it is better late than never…
