Why is my karaoke machine messing up on the lyrics?
I got a SM Digital karaoke machine by the Singing Machine for xmas. I love it, but I only had one CDG to use with it and the lyrics would scrammble and become pixelated on the TV. I thought it was a bad CD so I bought new ones today. All the cd’s are doing it. These are the CDs recommended for the player so what is the problem. Any suggestions on how I could resolve this before I pack the player up to exchange for another one.
The laser head on the player is out of alignment. Karaoke players are vary susceptible to this issue because they have to read sub channel tracks for the lyrics. It’s usually about $100-200 to get it re-aligned. BTW Singing Machine stuff is crap generally speaking. The CD’s are awful and the hardware not much better. With the right software you can do this on a laptop and then just get disks.
