Who To Notify Of Copyright Infringement?
Someone I know recently made a CD with the “gospel” group he now sings with. And I noticed on this CD there are 2 Randy Travis songs. He didn’t just use the music without the words like karaoke. He recorded himself singing along to these 2 songs to make them sound like they were duets with Randy Travis.
These CD’s are for sale and the group is making a profit off of them. They’re not a large scale hugely famous group, but they’re still making money off someone else’s music and that’s just not right.
Who do I notify about this? I’m sure there’s no way I can just call Randy Travis and let him know what’s going on, but he or someone who represents him really does need to know this is happening even if they decide not to take action.
