What was your most ghetto rigged recording setup?
My first cut (circa 1997, 11 years), I ran my guitar and amp with a tape recorder in the 1980s and then extend to another cassette tape while playing on top of it again .. Finally, after adding a layer after I have anything resembling a song. My second setup (circa 2000, age 14) used 2 of my father's karaoke machine deck .. It was built off the concept first, but rather than having to constantly change and rewire the tape I could play the slot in the microphone, recording the bridge 1, then play deck and a dub on it during the recording on deck 2. Quite a puzzle, but it does the job. My last (and preferably before all my material burned in a car fire) setup (circa 2002, 16 years) involved plug my effects pedal through the microphone slot on my computer and use Windows Sound Recorder to make various files. WAV I layer on top of each other .. This worked, but was a bitch to do because our computer was so slow. What was your configuration most ghetto?
I'm not with her. I am too poor, then no matter what I have with it is too ghetto.
