Can a guy stop liking you if he thinks you’re too good for him?
There is this guy I like, and I was positive he liked me too because he stared constantly and asked me to do this karaoke night with him at school. This was two weeks ago. Now, I really like him.. but I have a tendency to kind of ignore guys I like, it’s strange. Not conceited but, I know that I am too good for him because I’m very personable, friends with everyone, get good grades, etc. He’s not so outgoing but he’s still active in school (sports, choir, etc).
My question is: is it possible for a guy to stop liking you if they feel intimidated that you are too good for him? I feel like this is the reason I don’t get as much attention from him, because I’m always around people and always laughing/having fun. (Keep in mind, he is very reserved.. not shy, just reserved)
I am not in the “popular” crowd, I’m just well-liked. If anything, he’s more popular. I think I just make it seem like I’m too good for him because I ignore him, thinking he will want more. I know, it’s so bad.
Yes, a lot of people are threatened by somebody they perceive as out of their league. It might take time to reassure him that you like him. don’t go overboard, but remain friendly. If he doesn’t respond within a month or so, he doesn’t have the confidence to pursue the relationship.
