All Time Karaoke Songs
whenever i try to make a karaoke in audacity, i do all the steps right, but then everything is gone?
i import the mp3.
i split the stereo tracks.
i invert the lower track.
then i switch both to mono.
but when i play it, no sound is playing anymore.
i’ve tried it on three songs,
“ne me quitte pas” by regina spektor,
“good times gonna come” by aqualung, and
“everlong (acoustic)” by foo fighters.
any help? thanks.
I guess you’re using the 1.2.6 version.
I’ve never tried vocal removal using that method before – just did – same result.
The 1.3.7 beta version has a dedicated vocal removal function.
Whichever method or program is used the result depends on the way the music was mixed in the studio.
No method removes ALL the vocal although the result on some tracks is better than others.

One of them might help.
Personally I’d go with 1.3.7 beta.
